Hello. And huge congratulations!

I say that because, if you’re having a look at this little old site of mine, I’m guessing it means that you have something amazing to celebrate?

Whatever it is – a wedding celebration, naming ceremony or renewal of vows - I would be delighted, honoured and privileged to help.

Between us, let’s create the most memorable, extra special life event possible…

I say ‘between us’, because only you know you. I can’t do it without you.

Let’s take your thoughts and feelings about the ones you love and turn them into super personal vows and promises.

Tell me your funny anecdotes, well-loved quirks and favourite memories, so I can craft them into a beautiful story of you.

We can sprinkle in meaningful readings; weave in songs that make your hearts sing or your toes tap; invite your nearest and dearest to play a part.

Anything we can think of to make your day one that you’ll remember forever.

I can’t wait to get started.

…Freedom.

The most important advantage to having a celebrant can be summed up in one word – freedom.

Freedom to write your own vows or promises. To make them as long or as short as you feel like. To write them so they entirely sum up how you feel about the person you are about to spend the rest of your life with, or the child or children you’re welcoming into the world.

Freedom to hold the ceremony anywhere you want. Your Mum’s back garden; the place where you met, even on top of a mountain top – your imagination is your limit.

Freedom to include songs, poems and readings that mean the world to you, and get your favourite people to perform them.

Freedom to create a unique, special day that you can look back on with fondness for years to come.

“So many guests on the wedding day told us it was the best ceremony they had ever seen!”

How do we go about it?

We start in the way all good things start – by saying hello.

In person is best, but Zoom or good old-fashioned phone chat can work too.

First meetings are kind of treasure hunts.

They’re a chance for me to discover all the nuggets and insights that make you, you. All the important stuff you really want to say. How you see your day. Who you want to play a part in your celebrations.

This usually can be covered in one meeting or call, but I’ll always be on the end of the phone if you have one of those ‘Wish I’d told her that!’ moments. And I hope vice versa. The first meeting is just the start of our conversation.

I then take all the gold that you’ve given me and craft it in to a script, and celebration as a whole.

I write a first draft. I share it. We discuss. I make any amends or adjustments. We discuss again.

We continue talking and tweaking until you’re happy and excited beyond belief.

The day itself...

I’m all yours!

I’m a ‘one date, one ceremony’ kinda gal.

That way I’m not clock watching or needing to rush off to my next gig.

But instead concentrating 100% of my energy, care and attention on you and your special moment.

By this point everything is usually very much in order and under control, but I always arrive at least an hour early.

This gives me a chance to meet with the venue staff and go through any last checks and timings; liase with photographers and videographers; calm nerves of any friends or family who might be taking part in the ceremony, and wish my lovely couples to be love and luck, with a hug and a few deep breaths.

And then of course, the ceremony itself!

Time to take you and your loved ones on a wonderful journey – a rollercoaster of emotions - that’s completely centred around you.

They’ll laugh when they hear your story, shed happy tears when you share your vows and leave the ceremony ready for the rest of the celebrations with big happy smiles on their faces.

And only then, once you’ve enjoyed the best start to the rest of your life, will my job be done.
